Born in Adelaide, Lisa has been actively involved in the music industry for most of her life. The daughter of a Jazz pianist and a stage performer she was introduced to the entertainment world at the tender age of seven singing along with her father at various venues and making numerous television appearances. Her earliest musical memories are of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and other Jazz greats. Constantly surrounded with music and watching her idols on television, Lisa dreamed of one day emulating their success.
Renowned for her ability to perform live, Lisa has covered many areas in music including jazz, musicals and contemporary material. Her experience also covers television, recordings, live work, dancing and playing numerous musical instruments.
A consummate performer, Lisa’s success as a vocalist has been well documented. She has worked with high-profile Australian acts such as:
Noiseworks, Black Sorrows, Real Life, Ross Wilson, Billy Thorpe, Brian Cadd and Kate Ceberano, and was one of the most impressive vocalists on the Kylie Minogue European tour. However, Lisa is probably best known to Australian audiences as one of John Farnham’s accomplished and dynamic backing singers.
She has been a constant member of the Farnham band since 1988, touring both nationally and internationally.
Lisa has shared the stage with international acts such as Natalie Cole, Al Green, Sting, Brian Adams, Hall & Oats, Cindy Lauper, to Lenny Kravitz and Yoko Ono for the John Lennon Tribute Concert in Liverpool. She has also worked with Tom Jones.
